Personalized pet portraits
Every animal has its own personality, expression and little details that make it unique. My aim is to capture these qualities in a hand-drawn portrait – a personal piece of art to treasure for years to come.
Each portrait is carefully created by hand from your photographs, with great attention to detail and expression. You can choose between two different mediums: coloured pencils or soft pastels. Together, we'll decide which medium is best suited to your portrait.
How It Works
Every portrait begins with your pet and their unique personality. From the first enquiry to the finished artwork, we’ll go through a few simple steps together.

Confirm Your Order
Send me an email telling me a little about your pet and what you have in mind. We can discuss the details by email or arrange a free consultation if you prefer.
We'll look through your reference photos and discuss the size, medium and how you would like your portrait to look.
Once we've agreed on the details, you'll receive a final quote. Your place in my schedule is confirmed once the 30% deposit has been paid.

Reference Photos
Every personal portrait begins with a good reference photo
The reference photo is the foundation of your portrait and plays an important part in how much detail and personality I can capture. You don’t need to have the perfect photograph – I’m happy to help you choose the image that works best.
Good lighting
Natural daylight is ideal. Try to avoid strong flash, harsh sunlight and deep shadows.
Clear details
The eyes, fur and other small details should be as clear as possible. The more information the photograph provides, the more I can capture in your portrait.
At eye level
If possible, try to photograph your pet at roughly their eye level. This usually creates a more natural expression and better proportions.
Several photos are welcome
Please feel free to send several photographs. Even if one is chosen as the main reference, other images can help me see colours, markings and other details.
If your pet is no longer with you
I understand that taking new photographs isn’t always possible. If your pet has passed away, you’re welcome to send the photos you have, and we can look together at what is possible.
